Andy Graff is a middle school language arts and creative writing teacher nestled among the high desert mountains of Utah. He has thrice won funniest teacher, presumably for his smell; he also berated the yearbook students into counting the vote he placed for himself as handsomest teacher, winning with the single vote. His writing was once praised by his mother. He is a massive soccer fan and a senior writer for RSL Soapbox on SBNation. Ari Drue is a D.C. native who has always looked at everyday life and wondered, ‘what if?’ She believes there is a story in everything around her. As an author of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Paranormal, her stories center around characters of color. Julie Tran is a 17-year-old high school senior at Stuart Hall School. She enjoys art because it’s the only class in which she can make a mess and not get scolded. In her opinion, art goes beyond the aesthetic–it is a tool to make statements. Her primary focus is on how words can have destructive effects on the human mind, and how humans, with our strength and endurance, can find a way to rise above them, to fight for our happiness.
